Boquerones Tapas and Cocktails is a Spanish restaurant at 194A Heaton Road in Newcastle upon Tyne. Its neighbourhood setting and small plate format create an easygoing place for couples and groups to share a meal over drinks.
Tapas allows the table to build its own progression from lighter bites to richer dishes. A mixture of vegetable, seafood and meat plates can be ordered together, giving diners a broad view of Spanish flavours without committing to a single main course.
The menu’s sharing style encourages repeat rounds and makes it easy to vary the meal according to appetite. Bread, snacks and side dishes can support a quick visit, while a larger selection of plates turns the occasion into an unhurried dinner.
Cocktails are a central part of the concept and complement the sociable character of the food. Friendly service and the intimate Heaton Road location give the restaurant the feel of a local destination rather than a formal city centre dining room.
