Asi Barbecue Restaurant & Bar is a family run Turkish Mediterranean restaurant at 57–65 Walton Street in Hull. The team transformed the former Brickmakers Arms into a spacious, family friendly dining room with a large bar and an open grill visible to guests.
Meat is prepared in house and cooked over charcoal, producing dishes such as lamb chops, chicken wings, lamb shish, chicken shish and spicy minced lamb Adana. Mixed grills combine several cuts with rice and salad, making them especially useful for sharing around the table.
Cold and hot mezze broaden the meal beyond grilled meat. Spinach with garlic yoghurt, charred aubergine ezme, feta filled sigara boregi, halloumi and falafel provide contrasting creamy, smoky, crisp and fresh flavours before a main course.
Wine, beer and cocktails are served from the bar, while bookings, delivery and takeaway add flexibility to the restaurant format. Vegetarian choices are available, and guests with allergies should ask the team about yoghurt, sesame, wheat, nuts and shared grill or fryer preparation.
