Five Guys York is a burger restaurant at 47 Low Petergate in the historic city centre. It offers indoor dining and outdoor seating alongside collection, takeaway and delivery. The counter service format is direct, but every burger and portion of fries is cooked to order.
Burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches can be personalised with fifteen included toppings, creating a large number of possible combinations. Beef patties contain no fillers, while bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions, pickles and sauces allow each guest to adjust the final result. Smaller burger sizes offer a more modest alternative to the standard double patty format.
Potatoes are cut in the restaurant each day and cooked in peanut oil, either with salt or Cajun seasoning. The dedicated fryers mean the fries contain no gluten, though guests with allergies must consider peanut oil and the wider shared restaurant environment.
