Old Salty’s is a family owned and run Italian kitchen and chippy at 337 Byres Road in Glasgow’s West End. The two floor venue brings a traditional fish and chip shop and a bookable Italian restaurant together under one roof, with walk ins welcome and the full menu available throughout.
Fish suppers include haddock, cod, hake, scampi and fish goujons, all served with chips and with gluten free options available. Scottish favourites such as haggis, black pudding and smoked sausage appear alongside pies, burgers and classic chippy sides including mushy peas and curry sauce.
The Italian side of the menu covers antipasti, bruschetta, fresh seafood, handmade pasta and stone baked pizza. Lasagne, carbonara, Bolognese and several Milanese dishes sit beside changing pasta combinations, while breakfast and brunch extend the restaurant’s appeal earlier in the day.
A full wine list, beer, cocktails and coffee support both casual meals and longer occasions, and the venue can accommodate private functions.
