Rising Café Birmingham is an industrial style café at 58 Chester Street in Aston. It is run as a social enterprise by people rebuilding their lives after homelessness and addiction, with all proceeds supporting the recovery work of the charity Betel UK.
Breakfast and lunch are the core of the daytime menu, combining creative versions of familiar café dishes with satisfying classics. The kitchen also prepares its own baked goods, desserts and celebration cakes, giving visitors plenty of choice for a full meal or a shorter coffee stop.
Speciality coffee, cream teas and thick American style milkshakes add to the drinks and sweets selection. Indoor and outdoor seating can accommodate both small groups and busy daytime service, while the café can also be hired for private events outside its normal hours.
The warm service and charitable purpose are closely connected, but the café is first and foremost a public place to eat. Guests with allergies or dietary requirements should review the current menu and speak to staff because recipes and shared preparation can change.
