The Great North Wood is a neighbourhood pub at 3 Knights Hill in West Norwood. It combines a full weekly kitchen schedule with the easy pace of a local, serving food from midday and giving diners a place for lunch, an evening meal or a Sunday gathering.
The menu covers small plates, burgers, sandwiches and pub classics. Tempura squid, chicken wings and hummus offer shareable starts, while beef, chicken and plant based burgers sit alongside fish and chips and other familiar main dishes.
Sunday roasts have a dedicated menu, and the kitchen supports local trade by using bread freshly baked by Chas & Momo. A wide selection of vegan dishes and the willingness to discuss dietary needs make the pub useful for groups with different preferences.
Drinks and live sport add to the reasons to visit beyond the meal itself, while the dining area remains central to the pub’s identity.
