The Tramshed Sheffield is a neighbourhood bar and kitchen at 51 Chesterfield Road. Its cosy interior and rear beer garden create a relaxed setting for drinks and an evening meal, with food served from Tuesday to Saturday by the resident Dumpling City kitchen.
The food menu is entirely plant based and draws on Pan-Asian flavours. Chinese dumplings with Sichuan vinaigrette, Korean dumplings with chilli oil and fried dumplings with sweet chilli sauce provide several approaches to the venue’s signature dish.
Korean glazed cauliflower wings, karaage mushrooms, bang bang tofu and a steamed bun expand the selection into small plates. Tenderstem broccoli, kimchi, miso slaw, noodle salad and seasoned fries make it easy to assemble a varied order for the table.
House and guest keg beers are joined by wine, cocktails, spirits and alcohol-free choices, so the drinks list has plenty of scope beyond the food. Some dishes can be prepared with a dedicated gluten-free fryer, but guests with coeliac disease or allergies must tell staff before ordering so the kitchen can advise appropriately.
