Vems Crunch is an African restaurant at 98 County Road in Walton, with seating alongside collection and delivery. The menu combines Nigerian cooking with grilled and fast casual dishes, giving diners a choice between traditional soup meals and more familiar burgers or chicken.
Egusi, ogbono, okra, ewedu and edikang ikong soups form an important part of the African menu. Meat, chicken or fish can accompany the soups, while rice dishes and other substantial plates bring different textures and spice profiles to a full evening meal.
Southern fried chicken, wings, wraps and burgers widen the appeal, including a Vems burger layered with cheese, bacon, pickles and salad. A separate lighter range uses oven cooking and alternative coatings, supported by salads with chicken, salmon, tuna, prawns or vegetables.
Vegan friendly dishes are available, and outdoor seating adds another way to use the County Road venue. The mix of Nigerian flavours, quick meals and carefully considered lighter options makes Vems Crunch more varied than a conventional chicken or burger shop.
