Al Forno Brighton is a laid-back Italian pizzeria at 78 St James’s Street in Kemptown. The bright dining room and open kitchen keep the atmosphere informal, with walk-in tables available throughout the day as well as takeaway and delivery.
Handmade pizza is the main attraction, from simple tomato and mozzarella combinations to meat, seafood and vegetable toppings. Burrata, wild boar salami, ’nduja, porcini and roasted vegetables appear across the range, giving diners both familiar and more distinctive choices.
Pasta and salads broaden the menu beyond pizza, while garlic bread, Sicilian olives and burrata make useful starters for a shared table. Vegan pizzas and starters are given their own section, and gluten free choices are also available.
Homemade tiramisu and other desserts provide a traditional finish, supported by a separate drinks menu. Because dishes are prepared to order, the kitchen can accommodate straightforward adjustments, making Al Forno suitable for a casual solo meal, families or an unplanned dinner with friends.
