Geamos is an authentic Georgian restaurant at 122 Boundary Road in St John’s Wood. Owners Anna and Zaza Pulariani shape the experience around family recipes and generous Georgian hospitality, welcoming guests for dinner during the week and lunch as well as dinner at weekends.
Khachapuri is a central speciality, from the boat shaped Acharuli version with molten cheese and egg to the flatter Imeruli bread. Pkhali combines cooked vegetables, walnuts and Georgian spices, while cornmeal and cheese balls with walnut sauce add another distinctive beginning.
Main courses include juicy khinkali dumplings, pan fried poussin in garlic sauce and chakapuli, a lamb stew with white wine and tarragon. Recipes passed through generations are prepared with local ingredients and traditional Georgian seasonings.
Zaza’s wine selection explores Georgia’s long winemaking tradition through Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, qvevri wines and chacha. Nuts and dairy feature prominently in several dishes, so guests with allergies or dietary requirements should discuss the current menu with the restaurant before ordering.
