Si Signore Cafe Restaurant is an Italian cafe and dining room at 12 Sydney Street in Brighton’s North Laine. Its cosy setting serves lunch and dinner through most of the week, with an approachable menu of antipasti, pasta, pizza, meat and fish.
Starters include calamari, Caprese salad, meatballs in tomato sauce and baked aubergine parmigiana. These familiar combinations of tomato, mozzarella, basil, cured meat and vegetables provide a natural lead into the pasta and pizza courses.
Fresh Roman style pizza dough is used for ten inch pizzas such as margherita, Napoletana and vegetable topped Ortolana. Pasta ranges from carbonara and slow cooked Bolognese to crab ravioli, spinach and ricotta tortellacci and the house spaghetti with king prawns and courgette.
