Mamma Dough Brixton is a neighbourhood pizzeria at 354 Coldharbour Lane, close to Brixton station, the Ritzy and the O2 Academy. The large windows, communal tables and bar give this branch the sociable character of a pub as well as a restaurant.
Every pizza begins with the restaurant’s 200 year old sourdough culture and a base fermented for 48 hours. Classic Margherita sits alongside more individual combinations, while gluten free bases and vegan mozzarella make the menu adaptable for different diners.
Dough bites, garlic bread and seasonal salad add smaller dishes around the pizzas. Family bundles and children’s choices support relaxed group meals, while adult masterclasses offer a hands-on way to learn how the dough is shaped and topped.
Brixton Brewery beers made only a few streets away feature prominently on tap, joined by Guinness, Italian lager, spritzes, Negroni and alcohol free drinks. The local beer, quick oven and lively room make this an especially useful stop before a gig or film.
