Maureen's Caribbean Kitchen is an independent restaurant and takeaway at 105 Roundhay Road in Leeds. Maureen developed the business after years of cooking for community centres and local residents, moving into this shop in 2003. With seating for around twenty people, it offers a genuine dine in experience as well as food to take away.
The menu is based on traditional Caribbean home cooking, using fresh seasonal vegetables, seafood and meat. Jerk preparations, stews, rice dishes and daily combinations deliver the generous, comforting style at the heart of the kitchen. Staff are happy to explain unfamiliar dishes and help guests choose across the available selection.
Cakes are another strand of Maureen’s cooking, with fruit cake, pineapple cake, chocolate cake and jam sponge among her established specialities. Catering extends the same food to events and larger gatherings. Guests with allergies should discuss current recipes directly with the team before ordering.
