Spinach is a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant at 161 Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. Founder Melissa Harwood opened the original restaurant in 2015 with the aim of creating a warm local space where people could enjoy thoughtful food, attentive service and time together in an informal dining room.
During the day, the kitchen focuses on breakfast, brunch and lunch, using fresh produce to create colourful and satisfying plates. The relaxed daytime format suits everything from morning coffee to a longer lunch, while weekly changing salads give regular visitors something new and can also be ordered to take away.
Friday and Saturday evenings bring a selection of seasonal small plates designed for sharing. The cooking places local ingredients at the centre of the experience and lets the changing seasons guide the combinations on the table, giving groups the freedom to build a meal from several different flavours and textures.
The East Dulwich restaurant includes a terrace and a private dining room for celebrations and group occasions. Drinks, catering and collection options extend the offering beyond the main dining room, while vegetarian friendly cooking and produce led dishes reflect the inclusive, community focused character that defines Spinach.
