Plum Valley is a family-run Chinese restaurant at 20 Gerrard Street in the heart of London’s Chinatown. The site has been connected with the family since the 1980s, and the restaurant balances traditional cooking with a polished contemporary dining room.
Freshly steamed dim sum is served throughout the day, with handmade dumplings and small plates designed for sharing. Cantonese favourites sit alongside the bolder heat of Sichuan dishes, while rice, noodles, seafood, meat and vegetable plates broaden the meal.
An extensive vegetarian menu draws on temple-style cooking, giving meat-free diners a substantial selection rather than only a few alternatives. Weekday lunch combinations and a pre-theatre menu suit shorter visits, while round tables encourage larger group meals.
Private karaoke rooms provide a separate option for celebrations and corporate gatherings, and takeaway is available through a delivery partner. The restaurant opens daily from noon. Guests with allergies should discuss soya, gluten, sesame, shellfish and nuts with staff.
