Blanchette is a French bistro at 9 D’Arblay Street in Soho, founded by brothers Maxime, Malik and Yannis and named after their mother. The intimate room combines Parisian character with a lively soundtrack and a convivial style of service, creating an easy setting for lunch, dinner or a meal before the theatre.
The menu is designed for sharing, beginning with bread, olives, cheese beignets, croquettes and baked St Marcellin with truffle honey. French charcuterie and carefully selected cheese can be ordered individually or combined across the table, accompanied by pickles, onion confit and other traditional garnishes.
Larger dishes move through classic French meat, fish and vegetable cooking with a contemporary Blanchette twist. Moules marinière, seasonal fish, beef, roast chicken, lamb and pork are joined by ravioli and vegetable plates, while frites with béarnaise and fresh salads complete a flexible meal.
A concise set menu provides an accessible option at lunch and before evening performances. French wine, cider, pastis and classic or house cocktails complement the food, while the private Jungle Room offers a more secluded version of the same warm atmosphere for small celebrations and group dining.
