Yoko Sizzlers is a specialist sizzler restaurant at 16 Church Road in Stanmore. The Yoko story began in Santacruz, Mumbai, in 1986 and later expanded internationally before reaching London. Its central idea is theatrical and comforting: meat, seafood, paneer or vegetables arrive on a fiercely hot iron platter, keeping the food warm while sauces bubble and release their aroma.
Signature combinations include the Yoko special steak, mutton shashlik, chicken shashlik and a vegetable sizzler. The current menu gives diners choices across steak and other meats, chicken, fish, prawns, paneer and vegetables, so the format can be adapted to different tastes. Sizzling sauces range from garlic and mushroom to pepper or a more powerful chilli finish.
Each platter can be built into a substantial meal with chips, rice and other accompaniments. The chip selection includes regular, steak cut, curly, sweet potato and waffle versions as well as wedges, halloumi chips and hash browns. Flavoured rice adds another option, while sauces allow diners to balance creamy, earthy, savoury and fiery notes across the plate.
Appetisers, burgers and buns provide alternatives to a full sizzler, and separate vegetable, paneer, fish and chicken sections make the large menu easier to navigate. Smaller Kidzzlers and combination plates suit families, followed by smoothies, soft drinks and desserts. The restaurant does not sell alcohol or allow guests to bring their own, keeping the drinks selection entirely alcohol free.
