Mellow’s Bar & Restaurant is a Caribbean restaurant at 57 Grosvenor Street West in Birmingham. Led by a chef with more than 25 years of experience, the kitchen cooks food fresh to order and pairs an informal dining room with a bar and a strong celebration friendly atmosphere.
Jerk chicken is a central speciality, served with pineapple salsa and a choice of rice and peas, plain rice, fries, sweet potato fries, Cajun potatoes or mac and cheese. Curry goat, fried chicken, jerk salmon, sea bass and prawns extend the menu across meat and seafood.
Larger plates add prawns, plantain and two sides to jerk chicken, lamb, salmon or fried chicken, while pasta bowls combine jerk chicken, prawns or salmon with peppers, sweetcorn, onion and tomato. Burgers, wraps, wings and combo boxes provide more casual formats for either the restaurant or delivery.
Vegetarian and vegan choices include butter bean curry, chickpea and sweet potato curry and ackee with callaloo. Sunday is reserved for a dedicated roast menu rather than the usual selection, and lobster dishes require advance ordering; guests with allergies should contact the restaurant directly before their visit.
