Stables Bar is the cocktail bar at The Milestone Hotel and Residences, a short walk from Kensington Palace. Named for the building’s original purpose, the room pairs dark wood panelling and sporting artwork with leather seating, tartan details and a bright conservatory area.
Executive chef Sam Saunders oversees a bar menu designed around premium seasonal ingredients and sharing. The selection moves from caviar and globally influenced small plates to salads, burgers and more indulgent comfort food, giving guests the option of a few bites or a complete relaxed dinner.
Cocktails are central to the drinks experience. Signature recipes draw on premium spirits, house infusions and fragrant botanicals, while recommended food and drink pairings help guests match the kitchen’s dishes with an appropriate glass.
The adjoining Hideaway provides a candlelit alternative to the main bar for intimate dinners, walk in visits and private gatherings. Together, the two spaces work for afternoon refreshments, pre-dinner cocktails or an evening that combines carefully mixed drinks with substantial bar food.

A shot of concentrated coffee, made by forcing very hot water at a high pressure through finely-ground coffee beans.
Cappuccino
A coffee that is made up of a shot of espresso and an even distribution of foamed milk and steamed milk.
Latte
A coffee that is made up of a shot of espresso, steamed milk and a final thin layer of frothed milk on top.
Matcha Latte
Originating from Japan, matcha is finely blended leaves from green tea plants. This powder is whisked in to steamed milk.
Flat White
A coffee with a blend of smooth foamed milk poured over a shot of espresso with a final thin layer of steamed milk.
Macchiato
