Mayhills of Cockfosters is a Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant at 10 Cockfosters Parade. The evening menu moves from cold mezze and hot starters to charcoal grilled meat, seafood, pasta and desserts. Its broad selection allows diners to order an individual main course or build a generous table of dishes to share across a longer meal.
Cold starters include hummus, cacik, spicy ezme, tarama and burrata with heritage tomatoes. Falafel, grilled halloumi, sucuk, calamari and pan fried king prawns add warm contrasts, while lamb served over hummus and grilled octopus with mashed potato offer richer plates. Bread, yoghurt, tahini, herbs and chilli connect many of the smaller dishes.
The charcoal section covers lamb shish, chicken shish, Adana köfte, lamb chops, ribs and a mixed grill bringing several cuts together. Lamb beyti wraps minced lamb in lavash before adding yoghurt and tomato sauce, while a vegetable skewer provides a meat free grill choice. Sea bass, salmon, prawns and octopus are served with mashed potato and seasonal vegetables.
Seafood spaghetti, spicy penne and vegetable pasta extend the menu beyond the grill. Rice, bulgur, charred vegetables, fresh salads and fries make flexible accompaniments for the main dishes. Baklava, chocolate pudding and San Sebastian cheesecake provide sweet finishes, with wine, cocktails, spirits, beer and soft drinks supporting both a relaxed dinner and a larger celebration.
