Restaurant Gordon Ramsay is the chef’s flagship at 68 Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea. Opened in 1998 as his first wholly owned restaurant, it has held three Michelin stars continuously since 2001, including in the 2026 guide. The small, elegant dining room creates a focused setting in which the kitchen and service team can attend closely to each table.
Chef de cuisine Kim Ratcharoen leads a modern French approach grounded in seasonal British produce. The restaurant currently operates through tasting menus, allowing a meal to develop as a carefully sequenced progression rather than a collection of unrelated courses. Classical technique provides the foundation, while contemporary presentation and measured contrasts keep the cooking current.
Seafood, meat and vegetables are treated with equal precision across the changing menus, with sauces and accompaniments designed to clarify the central ingredient. A dedicated vegetarian menu and pescatarian alternatives broaden the experience, subject to advance notice and the kitchen’s ability to accommodate individual requirements. Guests with allergies or dietary needs are asked to contact the restaurant before their reservation.
The wine programme and polished front of house service are integral to the pace of the meal, whether guests choose a full pairing or select by the glass or bottle. Reservations are essential, and the Inspiration Table offers a particularly close view of the kitchen for a small group. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay remains a highly composed dining experience, combining the confidence of a longstanding institution with menus that continue to follow the seasons.
