Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is a steak and seafood restaurant just off Brompton Road, offering a calm retreat from the surrounding shopping streets. Its basement setting feels secluded from the city above, while the polished atmosphere gives this branch a more intimate character than some of its larger siblings.
The room draws on Art Deco style through marble, brass, stained glass and dark leather banquettes. These rich materials create a glamorous but comfortable backdrop, with generous booths that encourage guests to settle in for a relaxed meal rather than treat the restaurant as a brief stop.
British steak and seafood share the focus of the kitchen, supported by careful sourcing and confident charcoal cooking. Large cuts can be shared across the table, while sauces, sides, cocktails and a thoughtful wine selection allow diners to build an experience around their preferences and the occasion.
Harrods and Harvey Nichols are nearby, along with the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall. That location makes Hawksmoor useful after shopping or a cultural visit, while its popular Sunday roast provides another reason for families and friends to gather in Knightsbridge.
