Permit Room Brighton is Dishoom's all-day bar-café at 32 East Street in Brighton's Lanes. Inspired by Bombay's historic permit rooms, it moves from breakfast and daytime dining into cocktails, music and a more animated evening atmosphere.

The food follows Dishoom's idea of Bombay comfort cooking, drawing from cafés, grills, street stalls and home kitchens. Snacks and small plates lead into savouries, curries and rice dishes made for sharing, with enough range to support either a quick bite or a fuller meal.

Breakfast brings dishes such as naan rolls and akuri, while later menus include vada pau, bhel, grills, salads and hearty specials such as jackfruit berry pulao. Sweet dishes provide a final course, and vegetarian and plant based choices appear throughout the day.

Cocktails, alcohol free serves, natural wines, guest beers, lassis and soft drinks are central to the bar side of the experience, with a roof terrace and guest DJs adding to the venue's character. Guests with allergies should use Dishoom's current allergen guide and speak to the team before ordering.

Address: 32 East Street, Brighton BN1 1HL, England
