The Prince of Wales is a family run pub on St George’s Road in Southwark. Founded by Tom, Margaret and their family from the west of Ireland, it has served local residents and London visitors for more than two decades.
Food is prepared from scratch in the pub kitchen with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and familiar comfort dishes. Light bites include squid and chicken wings, while the burger selection covers beef, southern fried chicken and vegan choices.
Traditional mains include fish and chips, homemade cottage pie and sausage with mash. Desserts such as sticky toffee pudding, tiramisu and ice cream complete the menu, and a separate children’s selection caters for younger guests.
The pub welcomes families and dogs and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for celebrations and events. Friday karaoke, a beer garden and a relaxed atmosphere give it a sociable identity beyond its daily food service.
