Buck’s Bar Trongate is a fried chicken restaurant and bar at 96 Trongate in Glasgow. Opened in 2019, it is the largest venue in the Buck’s family, with upstairs and downstairs dining and a substantial Merchant City beer garden. The energetic rock and roll atmosphere suits dates, groups and meals before a gig or match.
Fried chicken is the main event, appearing in oversized burgers, wings, tenders and other generous combinations. The kitchen fries in rapeseed oil and offers a wide choice of sauces, seasonings and toppings. Halloumi nuggets and meat free options give diners alternatives without moving away from the menu’s bold comfort food style.
Lunch deals provide a more compact route through popcorn chicken, wings or halloumi with fries or slaw. The regular menu is deliberately substantial, so sides can be shared around the table. A separate menu identifies choices made without gluten containing ingredients, while guests with allergies should still discuss current preparation and cross contact with staff.
Cocktails are promoted as strongly as the chicken, joined by beer, spirits and soft drinks.
