Patron is a French bistro and wine bar at 26 Fortess Road in Kentish Town. Its intimate dining rooms retain period character from the building’s former life as a butcher’s shop, creating a warm neighbourhood setting for evening meals.

The kitchen draws on familiar French bistro traditions, with dishes such as crispy duck confit, hand cut steak tartare and garlic snails. Oysters and other opening plates allow diners to begin with a few shared tastes before moving to a larger main course.

Modern touches sit alongside the classics, including fried dauphinois served with a lively sauce. Vegetarian choices and carefully composed sides help make the menu useful for groups with different preferences, while chocolate mousse provides a rich finish.

Wine and cocktails are an important part of the experience, supported by a curved marble bar and a separate spirit lounge. Patron suits a relaxed dinner, drinks with food or a longer celebration in a setting that balances Parisian influence with Kentish Town character.
