Singapore Coffee House is a small family café at 5 Canonmills in Edinburgh. Inspired by the social spirit of Singapore’s traditional kopitiams, it brings food, coffee and chai together in a warm room where conversation and community are part of the experience.
The cooking draws from Singapore’s Chinese, Malay and Indian influences, with fresh handmade food at the centre. Kaya toast and pastries suit a lighter visit, while dishes such as laksa and satay bee hoon bring noodles, spice, coconut and savoury depth to a more substantial meal.
Traditional kopi and teh are prepared in recognisably Singaporean styles, alongside handcrafted cold drinks and other café choices. Curry puffs and changing specials add variety, and occasional evening services give the kitchen space to explore longer menus.
The café normally operates without table reservations, so customers should be prepared to wait at busy times. Its menu changes, and guests with allergies or dietary requirements should ask about the current recipes, sauces and preparation before ordering.
