The Conway is an independent local pub at 58 Conway Road in Pontcanna, Cardiff. Reopened under new management, it serves food and drink seven days a week in a traditional bar, a relaxed dining area and a garden used when the weather allows.
Welsh produce is a defining part of the kitchen’s approach. A main menu of pub classics is supplemented by a daily chalkboard of seasonal dishes, giving the chefs room to respond to available ingredients and offer something beyond the regular favourites.
The balance between dependable pub food and changing specials suits both routine neighbourhood meals and occasions when diners want to explore the day’s cooking. Sunday has a shorter food service, while weekday and Saturday service continues into the evening.
Cask ales, wine and cocktails accompany the food, with a real log fire adding warmth in colder months and outdoor tables providing a different atmosphere in summer. Table requests can be made online.
