The Escapologist is an underground cocktail bar at 35 Earlham Street in Seven Dials. Its playful story imagines the headquarters of a secret society that ruled Victorian London, giving the basement a theatrical identity for drinks, parties and late evenings in Covent Garden.
Rooms combine the atmosphere of a Victorian gentlemen’s club with details inspired by a Masonic lodge. The grand hall, secluded areas and dramatic decoration allow groups to reserve a table, book a private space or move through a lively night that feels removed from the streets above.
Cocktails take classic ideas in colourful and inventive directions, with current creations including a roasted pineapple colada, Lychee and Lace, the Banana Duchess and the Burning Baron. Prosecco, beer, wine and alcohol free options broaden the drinks list, while an extended happy hour runs on most days.
Weekend bottomless brunch combines live performances with a selected dish and a choice of cocktails, prosecco or beer. Food choices include a buttermilk chicken burger and vegetarian or vegan sweet potato and halloumi burgers, each served with coleslaw and fries for a substantial party meal.
