Al Dar Restaurant is a Lebanese and Mediterranean restaurant at 61–63 Edgware Road. Established in 1995, it serves traditional dishes from morning until late, making it suitable for breakfast, a quick lunch, shared dinner or evening meal in one of London’s best known areas for Middle Eastern food.
Cold mezze include hummus, moutabel, tabbouleh, fattoush, labneh, vine leaves and muhammara, combining chickpeas, aubergine, herbs, yoghurt, lemon and sesame. Hot choices such as falafel, spinach pastries, sambousek, grilled halloumi and fattah bring crisp pastry, warm bread and richer savoury flavours to the table.
The charcoal grill produces shish taouk, lamb skewers, kafta and mixed platters, while chicken and lamb shawarma offer another familiar route through the menu. Vegetable stews, sea bass, king prawns, rice and fresh bread allow diners to build a varied meal across meat, seafood and vegetarian preparations.
Traditional breakfast dishes, wraps and fresh juices broaden the restaurant’s appeal across the day. Lebanese sweets, fruit, tea and coffee provide a relaxed finish, while the wide selection of mezze and grills is particularly well suited to sharing among friends or family.
