Bridgend Farmhouse is a socially and environmentally conscious community cafe at 41 Old Dalkeith Road in Edinburgh. Volunteers prepare the food from scratch, using ingredients from local suppliers and surplus food where possible to create an affordable and welcoming place to eat.
The menu changes each day according to season and availability. Fresh soup is a regular feature, with a vegan version always offered, while sandwiches, toasties, panini and jacket potatoes can be filled with combinations such as cheese, tomato, hummus, roasted peppers, tuna or ham.
