Zuaya is a Latin inspired grill restaurant at 35B Kensington High Street, close to Kensington Gardens and High Street Kensington station. Its atmospheric dining room combines dramatic interiors with a relaxed sharing style, bringing the flavours of Latin America and the Mediterranean to a central Kensington setting.
Warm sourdough, cheese bread and charred flatbread provide an easy beginning alongside guacamole, lamb hummus and sweet potato crisps. Starters continue with beef chimichurri empanadas, Manchego and truffle empanadas, Padron peppers, chicharrones, burrata with roasted peppers, and a goat cheese and fig salad.
The charcoal grill is the heart of the kitchen, producing picanha, Argentinian sirloin, ribeye, Iberian pork rack and lamb chops with sauces such as chimichurri, peppercorn and Bearnaise. Seafood choices include garlic king prawns, whole grilled sea bass, tuna carpaccio and octopus served with sweet potato puree.
Vegetable dishes receive the same open fire treatment, with whole roasted cauliflower, mixed grilled vegetables and charred tenderstem broccoli adding depth to a shared meal. Fried cassava, black bean stew, patatas bravas and cauliflower with cheese complete the savoury selection, while cocktails make the bar an important part of the Zuaya experience.
