Landy’s Fish & Chips is a full service restaurant at 29–31 North Bridge in central Edinburgh. Part of the Vittoria Group, it turns the traditions of a Scottish chip shop into a sit down experience while retaining the direct appeal of freshly cooked fish and twice cooked chips.
North Atlantic haddock from carefully managed fishing grounds is the centrepiece. It can be ordered in traditional batter, breadcrumbs or baked with Cajun spice or lemon and herb, with dedicated vegetable oil fryers used for the gluten free versions rather than the beef dripping used for the standard fish and chips.
The wider menu moves through fish goujons, salt and pepper squid, mussels, scampi, fish pie and a seafood curry. Scottish comfort food is also represented by haggis, black pudding, battered sausage and steak pie, while vegan fish and chips and vegetarian haggis offer alternatives to the seafood and meat dishes.
Homemade tartare sauce, mushy peas, curry sauce and other classic sides let diners build a familiar chippy meal, while Scottish inspired small plates make sharing possible. Desserts, a children’s menu and a complete drinks selection help Landy’s work equally well for a quick lunch or a relaxed evening meal.
