Zavi Restaurant is a contemporary Turkish restaurant and cocktail bar at 747–753 Sidcup Road in New Eltham. Opened in 2019, it combines authentic Turkish flavours with a stylish dining room, music and a professional drinks programme. The menu is designed for both individual meals and celebrations built around generous sharing plates.
Cold meze include hummus, cacık, smoked aubergine baba ganoush, beetroot with yoghurt and walnut, aubergine in tomato sauce, kisir and stuffed vine leaves. Hot starters such as filo parcels, calamari, king prawns, halloumi and spicy sausage add crisp, grilled and savoury contrasts before the main courses.
The charcoal grill offers Adana kofte, chicken and lamb shish, lamb chops, chicken wings and beyti kebabs, generally served with rice and salad. Zavi mixed grills gather several skewers and chops together, with larger platters intended for groups. Kleftiko slow roasted lamb shank, Iskender, meat moussaka and spiced meat sautés provide alternatives to the grill.
Seafood dishes include salmon with asparagus, garlic butter king prawns and grilled whole sea bass. Vegetable moussaka, halloumi with grilled vegetables, falafel and meat free meze give vegetarian diners enough choice for a full meal. Turkish desserts, coffee, wine and a broad cocktail list complete the restaurant's lively New Eltham dining experience.
