Lore of the Land is a traditional British pub and restaurant on Conway Street in Fitzrovia, created by film director Guy Ritchie. Arranged over three floors, it combines the character of a historic public house with a modern approach to English dining and hospitality.
The ground floor pub offers carefully poured beer from a selection of established breweries, supported by spirits, cocktails and a considered wine list. Its informal bar atmosphere provides a relaxed setting for drinks, snacks and meetings before moving upstairs for a fuller meal.
On the first floor, chefs work in an open kitchen with a bespoke charcoal oven and grill. Menus change with the seasons and use fresh ingredients from local suppliers, bringing together fish, meat, vegetables and modern interpretations of familiar British flavours.
Sunday roasts are a particular feature, while seats at the copper kitchen bar allow diners to watch cooking over ember and flame. The private Rhed Room has its own bar and gives the pub a separate space for group dinners, celebrations and events.
