The Caley Picture House is a Wetherspoon pub and restaurant at 31 Lothian Road in Edinburgh. It occupies a striking former cinema that opened in 1923 and retains the scale and decorative impact of an entertainment venue. The Grade B listed building became a pub in 2014, giving diners an unusual backdrop close to the city centre’s theatres and attractions.
Breakfast is served from the morning, followed by an extensive all day pub menu. Burgers, grills, curries, pizzas, fish dishes, salads and British comfort food give groups a wide range of familiar choices. Smaller plates and sharers suit casual visits, while regular themed offers organise parts of the menu across the week.
Vegetarian and vegan dishes appear throughout the selection, and separate allergen information helps guests investigate individual meals. Families can choose from a children’s menu, making the large venue practical at quieter times of day.
