Santo Remedio Shoreditch is an intimate Mexican taqueria on a sunny corner of Great Eastern Street. Inspired by the cafes of Roma and Condesa in Mexico City, it offers a colourful setting for tacos and cocktails at the bar, a relaxed meal with friends or a lively weekend brunch.
Classic guacamole and house salsas begin the menu alongside tostadas and fresh ceviche. Tacos feature fillings such as pork belly, Baja style fish, soft shell crab, grilled chicken and roasted squash, allowing a table to explore several regional flavours and levels of spice.
Flautas, quesadillas, black beans, grilled corn and a Mexican style Caesar salad broaden the selection beyond tacos. Brunch adds green or red chilaquiles with beans, egg, crema and cheese, while vegetarian dishes receive the same attention to salsa, texture and careful seasoning.
House margaritas, mezcal, Mexican wine and beer are joined by horchata, fermented pineapple tepache and spiced cafe de olla. The bar and dining room welcome everyday visits, while weekend brunch, group dining, takeaway and collection create further ways to enjoy the Shoreditch menu.
