Breddos Tacos is a lively taqueria at 82 Goswell Road in Clerkenwell. Founded by Nud Dudhia and Chris Whitney after an early taco shack in a Hackney car park, it grew through markets, residencies and international research trips before finding a permanent home. The colourful dining room retains the direct, energetic spirit of street food while offering full table service.
Soft corn tortillas carry changing combinations of fish, chicken, pork, beef and vegetables. Baja fish tacos, fried chicken and slowly cooked meat can be joined by pickled vegetables, chilli mayonnaise, herbs, mole and fresh salsa. Tostadas provide a crisp base for seafood and seasonal produce, creating a different texture within the same compact format.
Larger sharing dishes and sides allow a table to move beyond individual tacos.
