Bankers Brighton is a traditional fish and chip restaurant and takeaway at 116A Western Road. The family-run business has served the city since 2001, with a bright sit-down dining room for guests who want more than a wrapped meal on the way to the seafront.
Cod, haddock and plaice are sourced from responsibly managed Icelandic fisheries and cooked in the restaurant’s family-recipe batter. Chips are the classic accompaniment, although selected fish dishes can also be paired with alternatives such as salad or a jacket potato.
Scampi, fishcakes, grilled fish and other seafood choices add variety beyond the core battered fillets. Children’s portions and options for older diners help make the restaurant accessible to families and regular local customers as well as visitors.
