Jailhouse Bar is set inside Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch at 335–337 Old Street. The room preserves five former prison holding cells from the building’s life as a magistrates’ court, giving drinks and meals a setting with an unusually tangible connection to local history.
Although cocktails are a major part of the identity, the venue serves a substantive food menu every day. The kitchen focuses on simple British comfort food made with fresh produce, providing relaxed dishes that suit lunch, dinner or a longer evening in the bar.
Signature Jailhouse burgers sit alongside a Pasta Fresca experience that allows guests to shape their own pasta dish. A set menu offers another way to organise a full meal, while Shoreditch style afternoon tea broadens the service into the daytime.
The restored cells can be hired privately, with larger semi exclusive spaces available for groups. Food service runs from noon into the evening, so Jailhouse Bar works as both an atmospheric cocktail destination and a practical place to eat before exploring the surrounding Old Street area.
