Mamma Mia is a family run Italian restaurant at 16 King’s Place in north Glasgow. It combines classic cooking with warm, attentive hospitality, offering a welcoming dining room for lunch, dinner, family gatherings and special occasions as well as a menu for food to take away.
The kitchen draws on recipes and techniques passed through generations, preparing dishes by hand and placing particular emphasis on pasta and carefully seasoned sauces. Fresh vegetables, meats and herbs are used to give familiar Italian food the direct flavours and comforting character expected of a neighbourhood trattoria.
An à la carte selection is supported by set menus for lunch, dinner and weekends, allowing diners to choose between individual favourites and a structured multi course meal. A dedicated children’s menu makes the restaurant practical for families, while burgers and other accessible dishes sit beside the Italian core.
Service is split between lunch and evening periods on weekdays, with longer sessions at weekends. The combination of handcrafted food, family ownership and a relaxed Glasgow setting gives Mamma Mia a personal identity that suits both an everyday meal and a celebration around the table.
