Michelangelo’s is a restaurant, bar and events venue on Stella Road in Ryton, Blaydon-on-Tyne. Ten guest rooms sit in a separate annex, allowing the business to combine neighbourhood dining with overnight stays and larger celebrations. The restaurant aims for an easy, welcoming atmosphere shaped by Mediterranean hospitality.
Traditional Mediterranean dishes and Italian favourites form the core of the food. Pizza and pasta sit beside risotto, grilled meat, kebabs, seafood and changing specials, so the menu can accommodate both a simple lunch and a longer evening meal. Dishes are cooked to order with ingredients brought in fresh, including produce sourced locally where possible.
Starters such as minestrone, bruschetta, antipasto and halloumi with hummus lead into pasta sauces ranging from pesto and tomato to slow cooked beef and seafood. Children’s dishes and desserts make the menu practical for families, while mixed groups can share breads, olives and several starters before choosing individual mains. Guests with allergies should discuss ingredients and kitchen handling with staff before ordering.
Real ale, craft beer, lager, wine, gin and other spirits give the bar enough range to support both meals and stand-alone visits. Private functions and events are an important part of the venue, but the restaurant remains available for ordinary lunch and dinner service. Michelangelo’s offers a broad Mediterranean menu in a relaxed setting between Ryton and Blaydon.
