Mona’s is a warm Indian and Turkish fusion restaurant on Seymour Place in Marylebone. Founder Mona Advani developed the idea through more than a decade of cooking at markets, festivals and shared meals before opening a permanent dining room. Family Indian recipes meet Turkish flavours and techniques in food designed to feel generous, personal and comforting.
Small bites include vegetable spring rolls, kachori, potato and pea samosas, lamb samosas and poppadom with pickles. Samosa and chickpea chaat layers curry, onions, crisp gram flour noodles, pomegranate, chutneys and tamarind, while avocado chaat offers a fresh variation. Masala chips and chutney chips add the restaurant’s own flavour to a familiar side.
Signature rolls wrap curry, lettuce, pickled cabbage, tomato, onion and tabbouleh in freshly made paratha with a choice of yoghurt, chilli, tamarind or green chutney. Fillings include paneer masala, chicken tikka masala, garlic chicken with spinach, lamb kebab and fiery lamb. Thali gathers two curries with daal, rice, paratha, samosa, salad, pickles, poppadom, sauce and something sweet.
Vegan diners can choose Rekha’s tadka daal, masala potato, chickpea with spinach and mixed greens curry, while falafel, hummus and salads broaden the lighter options. Biryani style rice and plain or flavoured paratha complete a curry meal. Baklava, kulfi, mango pulp and sweet paratha rolls lead into drinks such as masala chai, Turkish tea, ayran, rose water, beer, wine and fruit mojitos.
