Montpeliers Bruntsfield is a long established neighbourhood restaurant and bar at 159–161 Bruntsfield Place. Open since 1992, it serves from morning until late and has grown into a familiar local meeting place for coffee, meals, drinks and celebrations.
Breakfast and weekend brunch include eggs Benedict, Turkish eggs, French toast and plant based sweet potato hash. These dishes sit alongside coffee and lighter morning choices, making the restaurant useful for both a quick start and a leisurely weekend visit.
The later menu combines recognisable classics with contemporary ingredients. Fried chicken burgers, Scottish salmon, steak frites and vegetable curry show the breadth, while soups, squid, arancini and hummus offer smaller beginnings and meat free alternatives.
Cocktails, wine and other drinks support the venue’s late opening and social character, with children’s and set menus widening its appeal. Guests with allergies should inform their server because the kitchen handles many ingredients in shared preparation areas.
