Moose Coffee Hope Street is a North American inspired breakfast and brunch restaurant inside Federation House in Liverpool. Open through the daytime, it has become a destination for leisurely breakfasts as well as lunch and coffee. The intimate, diner influenced atmosphere suits solo visitors, families and groups, although the busiest weekend periods can bring a wait for a table.
Freshly made pancakes are a signature, served with Canadian maple syrup and combinations ranging from berries and bacon to banana, pecan, chocolate or salted caramel. Belgian waffles and vanilla French toast provide equally indulgent alternatives. Savoury pancakes, eggs, bagels and breakfast plates bring balance for diners who prefer salt and spice to a sweet stack.
The wider menu reflects the multicultural food of North American cities. Huevos rancheros, potato hash, grits, chicken and waffles, smoked salmon and generous meat breakfasts sit alongside avocado, halloumi and vegetable choices. Vegan dishes are marked, gluten free bread is stocked, and many plates can be adjusted for differing dietary needs.
Moose uses its own Arabica house roast for espresso drinks, with tea, juices and other brunch drinks available as alternatives. The restaurant’s emphasis on generous portions and fresh preparation gives a visit the feel of an independent American coffee house rather than a quick café stop.
