Morrisons Glasgow – Auchinlea Café is the public cafe inside the supermarket at 20 Auchinlea Way in Easterhouse. It opens daily and serves hot food through the afternoon, giving shoppers and local diners a convenient place for breakfast, lunch, coffee or cake.
Breakfast ranges from a full Scottish plate with Lorne sausage, bacon, eggs, black pudding, haggis and tattie scones to smaller and build your own versions. Vegetarian and vegan breakfasts, rolls, porridge and food on toast provide alternatives for different appetites.
Familiar cafe lunches include hand battered fish with chips and mushy peas, golden scampi, lasagne and chicken tikka masala. Jacket potatoes, salads, sandwiches and toasties cover lighter meals, while children can choose from a dedicated mix and match selection.
Self service hot drinks include free refills during the cafe visit, and the counter carries cakes and other sweet treats. The straightforward service, family choices and broad opening pattern make the cafe useful for an inexpensive meal before, during or after a shopping trip.
