Original Khyber is an Afghan and Pakistani restaurant at 69 Kilmarnock Road in Glasgow’s Shawlands. Its informal dining room is known for substantial dishes, direct flavours and a style of hospitality that encourages food to be shared across the table.
Karahi is a major focus, with chicken and lamb cooked in deeply savoury tomato and spice combinations. Charsi and namkeen preparations highlight the meat itself, while slow cooked nihari and haleem provide rich alternatives built for eating with fresh bread.
