Salt’s Smokehouse is a halal barbecue restaurant at 79 New Broadway in Ealing. Created by three friends with a shared enthusiasm for smoked meat, it focuses on bold flavour and an informal atmosphere suited to family meals, groups and diners exploring barbecue for the first time.
Meat is cooked slowly over hickory wood and seasoned with a combination of traditional Texan barbecue ideas and Middle Eastern spices. Wagyu beef brisket, beef short rib and lamb ribs can be ordered by cut or combined in a substantial platter with wings, salad, bread and classic smokehouse sides.
Steaks are smoked before being seared and finished with compound butter, while pulled brisket and Wagyu smash burgers provide a more compact meal. Tallow fries, macaroni cheese, coleslaw and garlic bread bring richness and contrast, with several sauces allowing guests to adjust sweetness, spice and tang.
Cheesecakes, milkshakes and house mocktails complete the menu without introducing alcohol. A vegan steak is available by advance order, although the standard selection remains strongly centred on meat, and takeaway and delivery provide alternatives to eating in the spacious West Ealing restaurant.
