The Castlebar is an independent gastropub at 84 Uxbridge Road in West Ealing. It serves food from breakfast into the evening, combining table service and a broad dining menu with the relaxed rhythm of a neighbourhood bar, sports venue and late opening social space.
Breakfast ranges from bacon and egg rolls to full English, vegetarian and halal cooked plates. Later in the day, sandwiches, wraps and burgers provide casual options, while tapas such as croquettes, patatas bravas, padron peppers, prawns and squid are designed for sharing over drinks.
Main courses include steak, chicken fajitas, beer battered cod, seafood linguine and jerk chicken, with salads and vegetable dishes balancing the heavier choices. A traditional Sunday roast adds beef or chicken with roast potatoes, vegetables, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
Wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, mocktails and hot drinks cover visits from brunch to late evening. A large covered outdoor area, televised sport and regular entertainment contribute to the atmosphere, while the substantial food selection means the pub remains suitable for a proper meal rather than drinks alone.
