The Gunmakers is an independent cocktail pub and taquería at 13 Eyre Street Hill in Clerkenwell. The venue has served the neighbourhood in different forms for generations, and today blends the character of a cosy London pub with colourful Mexican food and drinks.
Mexican street food gives the kitchen its identity. Tacos and tostadas feature fillings such as slow cooked meat, seafood and vegetables, while guacamole, tortilla chips and other smaller dishes make it easy to order a spread for the table.
The menu moves beyond simple bar snacks through ceviche style seafood, fried dishes and more substantial combinations. Meat free choices are built around ingredients such as avocado, mango and vegetables, providing useful options within the same bold, chilli bright style.
Cocktails are a major part of the experience, joined by beer and other pub drinks. With a garden, dining rooms and bookable spaces, The Gunmakers works for a casual lunch, after work food, an evening of tacos and cocktails or a small private gathering.
